@sbv management considers that a guaranteed way to fire you for performance.

"But you know, a manager has to keep his number of direct reports to 7+ or else… "
gosh, I hope that's true!! after displacements on my team, mgr now has 6 directs and it's insanely funny listening to him whine and keeping himself busy--offered to take on tasks for us worker bee's that soo effin simple...as if THAT would lighten our load. middle mgr are dead weight! can someone pls explain why that level still exists??

Driving around a city for absolutely no reason when you could be working is the definition of "goofing off". F Hudson Yards, the inefficiency was THEIR idea, not ours.

Yes you do so @sbv+1mfOvMy9. I don’t do goofing off or pretending to be busy well.

On the quiet quitting front, they ain't seen nothing yet. They've handed every employee a built in excuse why they don't get anything done while on site, you were busy "collaborating". If we want WFH, we need to not produce anything while in the office. Talk with friends, hit the gym, few extra bathroom trips, goof off on the phone, whatever, just don't work. If data supporting one side or another is what they want, well...

So everyone takes advantage of Wells. Employees and their managers 😃

We have two on our team who WORK IN A WF OFFICE and literally “produce” one report a quarter. ONE. It’s not complicated and it’s not even accurate most of the time.

This report used to be completed in 2 days by the prior person.

But you know, a manager has to keep his number of direct reports to 7+ or else…

That is hardly the norm for people who were remote prior to the pandemic.

IF those situations are accurate, it falls squarely on the manager who obviously doesn’t have a single clue to what work his employees are actually producing.

Nice try, though. 🤡

If a WFH employee doesn’t have enough work to do that is on the Manager first and org second. Service Now and the new metrics driven processes will eventually weed all of that out. I’ve seen it happening already.

Sure others will get caught in the cross fire but whatever. It’s the risk we accept. When I first came on board there were weeks I did nothing because I was given nothing despite asking for work. Then there was the 5 years I operated a 12/hr day brick and mortar business while holding down my WF position. Now I wasn’t stupid and was always available to Wells, brick and mortar always took a backseat to WF’s ask so there was no conflict there, but I still had the time to execute it.

CEOs talking out their backside to justify why productive WFH employees should be back in the office.

I'm busy as he-l during the day. I rarely get an hour for lunch, nor breaks. Then a few nights a week I'm also up late working.

RTO would cost me 90+ minutes of work time a day.

Permanent WFH. I haven't cracked open my laptop for months. You don't have to crack it open when it's plugged into an external monitor and peripherals.

In fact, I spend most of the day studying and researching personal things since my job is a scheduled-demand role that doesn't have a lot to do during my daytime business hours. When I'm busy it's for hours on end, though.

Could I be just as productive at a WF office location? Sure.

Would I try to be? He-l fu----g no.

RTO is not an option for anyone working remote. Everyone is working their 2nd side jobs and businesses at home. My coworkers all were too busy to process. One processor was running a daycare. Another processor worked for another mortgage company. She processed for two companies. My processing managers husband bought a bar so she was working the family business. So guess what Wells Fargo. Your employees are ripping you off. I have to say Wells Fargo deserved this!
