Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Falling behind rapidly the big 2

TMobile and Verizon are moving ahead while ATT languishes. They don't have the warchest inflow to keep up. If TMus or VZ scoop up TDS/USM they can corner the Fixed Wireless 5G internet market. ATT is years behind while Tmus and VZ are cleaning up and taking massive share from the cable companies.

Its also worth noting that AT&T's debt is mostly fixed rate at an average of 4.1%. Verizon's debt is almost all adjustable rate, and they are going to feel pain as the interest rate conditions continue to rise for corporations.

Sure, this past earnings wasnt pretty, but there are a few main points of stability AT&T has that cannot be said for its main two competitors.

Yeah, Fixed wireless is great. They would corner the coveted pig farmer market.
AT&T blows Verizon out of the water. Tops in fiber and fastest speeds.

TM and VZ already have millions on the product and will have millions more by year end. Very disruptive to Cable and DSL. I have the T-Mobile product and it is great.

Because fixed wireless sucks. It’s not reliable only thing it offers it’s better than not having internet. Great sales pitch, it’s better than nothing. Marketing team reach out to me, I’ve patent the “it’s better than nothing” catch phrase. I’ve seen both Verizon’s and T mobiles fixed wireless services. While I’m installing dsl or fiber. Nothing but complaints.
