Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

It's not worth giving your best here

If I hadn't already convinced myself many times that it's not worth it, I might still be trying to give my best to this company. However, nowadays my conscience doesn't bother me at all that I only give 50%. How about you?

I believe that there is blame to go to the leadership, but the majority of the blame is on you.

I believe that you are dead wrong in your statement! The way ATT is managing this place is like saying, "the beatings will continue until the morale improves!" T has stripped the employees of benefits over the years and has piled on more work expecting employees to perform at peak levels doing more with less. It's T management that will cause the ultimate decline of this company as it has clearly proven over the past 8 years!

I give my best at whatever I do. If you are here just to collect a paycheck, then what makes you objectively, morally superior to your leadership? If a good deal of the employees have that attitude, it is a major contributing factor to the decline of this company. I believe that there is blame to go to the leadership, but the majority of the blame is on you.

I doubt the OP still works there. An ex-employee that can't move on. But, might just start thinking about it, before the job market goes sour.

Yeah he gave 50% when his leadership was looking over his shoulder. The rest of the time he's been skating around 25%. He fools no one... Not his coworkers or supervisors.
