Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

And Wells Fargo is building NEW OFFICE SPACE in Texas 🙄.

Our Leaders are SO behind the times, and so illogical, you just can’t make this Sh-t up.

Since Post ID: @frg+1mayV7M6 and Post ID: @cuj+1mayV7M6 lack reading comprehension skills, the point is:

The world has changed. WFH is here to stay for companies with a forward-thinking mindset. Wells Fargo has acquired the land in Los Colinas and will own the new buildings set to house 4000 employees. Most companies and cities are concerned about how to fill all of the empty office space and buildings. Wells Fargo is plowing forward like it’s the 1980s. And no -Wells Fargo does not “know what they do.” You would understand this too if you read the news.

The headline is suspect and the source, a hedge fund manager, is suspect. This sounds more like free marketing for him and his firm to attract new investors.

It shouldn’t be news that they were consolidating office space. Yes there’s a lot of office space in the area spread out. The goal was to bring it together on one campus. Once this is built, I think we will see what other hubs are staying or going across the country.

What you fail to understand is the profit and tax incentives/write-offs from construction of this type.
Even if it is never occupied - it makes money big-time.
It's LOANS, silly. WF won't own this poorly constructed zone-violating gahbidge.

Yeah - I'd like to see WF create loans from thin air that benefit the people overall.
Small businesses, affordable housing, non-parasitical schools/athletic things for kids.

But there is no quick pay-out for that stuff.
Plus, the bank circle-jerk crowd doesn't include good people.
So back off. They know what they do.
And you don't.

I’m in Irving. Autofinance corporate risk. There is such a HUGE amount of empty buildings here. The last thing we need is to build another building (it’s supposed to be 10 stories). We hold the leases on countless buildings in the Metroplex. Renovate those. 10 stories tells me hybrid is on it’s way out (even though there’s NO way everyone in the metro area is going to fit in that building without it being open 24/7). Complete waste of time, money, and resources. Wells Fargo loves that last century business model.. because they’re overburdened with corporate real estate holdings that are ready to go toxic.🤫

LOL. What state should they be constructing a new building in? Have an actual point to make?
