Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

#firejohnstankey

AT&T's largest investors (Vanguard, Blackrock, State Street) need to demand our elected chairman (Bill Kennard) to hold JTS accountable for T's performance. These investors hold the majority of companies stock, 20% in total and they need to demand an ROI. Enough funny games, time for JTS to be fired.

It was Randal Stephenson that screwed the coming by making those moves into the media realm, not Stankey! Get your facts straight, people!

Stankey screwed the pooch trying to turn a global telecommunications company - the backbone of American telecommunications - into a complete embarrassment to a media giant while leading the board of directors. He promptly realized what a monumental whiff that was and bailed on all of the investments he led.
He should have been gone after the HBOMAX embarrassment - literally was be of the worst branding disasters in American large business history…it was AT&T’s “New Coke” moment.
He single-handedly decimated the stock price and now to make up for his mistake the employees are suffering. Great CEO’s inspire, motivate and have the foresight to properly invest in the business. He failed catastrophically at all 3.
John Stankey does 3 things well…
”1. Surplus” employees (a more attractive term for layoff/rif)

  1. Deconstruct all of his gargantuan mistakes at the cost of AT&T investors and employees.
  2. Lose massive amounts of money for millions of people and still manage to have a job - now that is impressive!!!

Blackrock and Vanguard rule the world.

This is what happens when people use TikTok as their primary means of fact checking.

Good thing you are anonymous or Stankey would have you on your knees begging for mercy.

We need to get rid of the board period! They are the ones making these bad acquisitions and costing the company billions. Why make the little man suffer … hold those who made the decision accountable! Get rid of all of them!

"Those three investors are invested though index funds which are not actively managed. They don't care about the management, just that they keep the right ratio to match the index"

Yep. And right now T will be helping offset capital gains by other holdings.

Blackrock and Vanguard rule the world. I really don’t see them pushing JS out the door. If Blackrock was unhappy they wouldn’t have invested in the out of footprint fiber build out.

Why would John be fired? His optimization plans are starting to be implemented.

Bill Kennard supported Stephenson’s adventurism … who is holding him accountable? His job is to protect the shareholder.
