First, there in no innovation that comes out of labs owned by large companies. AT&T has no labs or R&D.
Why innovate when you can simply wait for some sole proprietor to invent "the next big thing", and buy out their company and claim it for your own?
Thus, innovation is B as in B and S as in S. No one innovates that works for a big company. It doesn't happen. Ideas are bought and traded, not developed.
AT&T can’t innovate because the brain trust at the top decided that blowing $100B on a failed media empire building exercise was a brilliant idea.
This is all just padding the landing zone for all the golden parachutes that will get used when we eventually tank the stock or get bought out.

Can't innovate without a budget. The lack of passion is coming from the top. If Stankey believed in his company, he would be slashing his salary first.

These people that keep posting this “suck it up” garbage are the type of people that think they’re the only ones that work. It never crosses their mind that our work can be different, but still hard.

Current employees need to ignore the company line talking points. We are in this mess because of bad decisions that Randy/Stankey made by putting too many eggs in one basket with TMobile buying has beens along with bad pricing strategy on our products and iffy customer service and experience. We lost our identity when we started sourcing IT and call centers to 3 party vendors.

The outsourcing deals started back in 2004 way before remote working. Id--t! Andre Feustch, Thaddeus and Stankey/Randy have been pushing the work to vendors for years. This is how Cingular Bell South and Att wireless operated. So yes you don’t understand. The whole RTO is a smoke screen to cut jobs because the company is in financial trouble.
