Chicago moved to wave 2

Jeremy announced at his staff mtg that Chicago would be moved to wave2. No details what that means except Chicago employees have another year or so before the move or leave date.

A response on Chicago. First, AT&T doesn’t own the building at Monroe & Franklin. It hasn’t for years.

Second, 6th level recommendations go to Stankey on June 15 or 16. Letters to those impacted go out on June 30.

Third, Chicago could — but it isn’t certain — be made a secondary hub. But it won’t prevent many from being forced to relocate or leave the company.

Fourth, those agreeing to relocate from Chicago (and elsewhere) will have to May/June of next year to go.

Fifth, there is no date, or even rumor of one, on when those who cannot relocate will be forced to quit.

The company wants to cut costs now. Not 24 months from now.

"I’m an L3 in Leggs org. This is not true…"

What part is not true? My team was given official notice yesterday by our VP who reports to Summers that Legg approved Chicago location to move from wave1 (dec 2023) to wave2 (18-24 months from now). I can't speak to center of excellence or any other details but the move from wave1 to wave2 is true.

That’s great news! I’m glad that LOGiC is now being considered and implemented.

It's obvious this RTO strategy was not thought out well but since Stank did it in a vacuum it's not a surprise. All these plans being put together with exceptions and excuses for leaving people not customer facing in other than the 9 locations will rile up the Stank when his goals are not made. Best solution is to fire the Stank for poor job performance as the stock is hitting $15 and below today

Here we go. Now they are making exceptions and call it COE. Another proof that the idea of RTO was not well thought. What will be next Big Thing? T never disappoints in making bad decisions. Expect unexpected.

. Should be the same across the board. Typical AT&T B S.

The “fairness posse” is why those of us who have never been in the office are losing our telework status and likely our jobs

Why the exception for Legg/Chicago? If true, others should use this as leverage if they are given tighter deadlines. Should be the same across the board. Typical AT&T B S.

Chicago will be classified as a “center of excellence” for Legg’s organization for at least 18-24 months. No word on what building since Legg’s organization is in Chicago and the suburbs

It’s 18-24 months for Chicago, which is December 2024 at max. Then they might extend to 2025 depending on many factors and by that time Stankey might be gone hopefully. Chicago is too big of a hub for AT&T to lose IMHO. would love to see when Contingency Planning comes up and T can’t ask all of them to travel to Dallas and Atlanta.

Wave 2 is august of this year, not a year from now…… wave 3 is Dec 31 of this year.

Will AT&T sell their 60 story building on Monroe & Franklin? What will happen to it if they move all those people out of Chicago? This doesn't make much sense except that I believe the new mayor of Chicago is going after corporations doing business in Chicago. He's gonna tax the he-l out of businesses. ATT had that building there since 1989, they won't get squat for it if they try to sell it.

It's Chicago: Half of them are going to be removed from payroll because of violent crime.

I don't know if I'd see it a good or bad news if it was me, to be honest.
