It’s been about four years since I was let go of Honeywell. Before I was let go once of my previous managers admitted to me that Honeywell leadership employs “paranoia management “ which means leadership will make you so paranoid that you will loose your job that you work harder to keep your position. I know I was consistently scared to loose my job and it impacted my mental wellbeing. I worked for 21 years at Honeywell and each year we had layoffs. So I’m curious if anyone else has heard this also wondering when the nightmares of working under that stress will stop.

but yeah you are right, moving out of honeywell gave a nice work and personal life balance so i use at least some minutes per week to scroll here and just read the drama about how honeywell is sinking. It entertaining i must say.

LMAO -- I don't know of anyone who wants to live in Scandinavia or even Europe for that matter! Also don't know of anyone who has "praised the nordic countries for their quality of life". Those people or polls must been from other far-leftist areas.
I lived in western Europe for about 4 years. It used to be a nice place to visit but I would never want to live there again. They don't even have anything close to a Bill of Rights and their censorship, wokeness & covid lockdowns are almost as draconian as China's. No surprise that unions are strong over there as they have their roots in European Marxx-ism.
Nothing to envy in Europe as they are all dealing with massive inflation & upticks in unrest & violence from unfettered migration, etc. Little wonder that the first II world wars started there and it looks like number III is near at hand.

People always praised the nordic countries for their life quality, but decide to ignore the big fact that unions are massive here, atheism is being embraced, LGBT friendly country, legal abortion, etc etc.

The military academy I attended in the 80's had a very "Left" history education plan. For a school that espoused "To turn young men into Leaders" I never understood why they taught us so much about Labor history and Economic theory. I understand now how it's all intertwined. Good Luck surviving the social and economic upheaval.

Unions have nothing to do with communism. In actually, they are how health capitalist counties keep run away capitalism in check.
Like all things, they can get corrupt, but that doesn't mean they don't serve a purpose. And really, the conspiracy theory nonsense has no place here.
As a manager I can assure you that talk of unionization is the one thing that actually causes a response. Even if small, like retention bonuses. That's not endorsement of unions as the best option. But I've been in the meetings where we are told to cut back on vacation, not hire on "open" postings, and force overtime. Why? Because they have us target 2% more hours from employees year after year.
Never heard that one, but they do treat you like $hi!. Wonder if it will be different when MM exits shortly and JC takes the helm.
