I've heard from many people that left Wells Fargo because they didn't feel like they were being recognized for their good work and not one of them said they regret it. I don't understand why more people who feel this way don't do the same. If you don't like how the company is treating you OR who you're becoming because of your job, it's time to say goodbye and find one that will treat you better.

Former 23+ year employee who quit specifically due to admitted manipulation of my year end rating by a 2 up who never saw or heard me perform but insisted my boss rate me a 2. She fessed up, I fu(kin quit. New job negotiated and gave me 8 hrs of leave per payday + separate sick leave. Matched salary + my last WF bonus. If you’re good, employers are willing to negotiate. Don’t sell yourself short.
It’s hard to leave if you’ve been around for a while. Yes, the PTO days and mainly the severance from a benefits perspective, but it’s also the layers and layers of people I know. And yeah the golden handcuffs too. I don’t want to walk away from money I’ve earned after dealing with this place for this long. Easier to jump ship if you have a decade or less in.
Charlie has no conscience about axing long term
Loyal employees. Karma is sweet and he will get his someday. Guaranteed
If you require recognition find a position that provides it. I'm in it for the moolah. I don't care about recognition or anything else for that matter. Post-Paycheck it's all gravy.
Chuck, go back to your guitar playing and stop gasl!ghting us.
This place is a true sh&thole. They mentally abuse people then our Chinese HR director puts out the we care about your mental health BS emails.
"I was here 30 plus years before I got axed. I gave my whole life and career for this sh&those. Boy do I have regrets for staying long and being loyal. Huge mistake!!! They kicked me to the curb."
Are you saying you'd have been better off if you'd left of your own accord? Because you got a sweet, sweet severance package because you didn't.
There's a point when you've been with a company long enough where if you leave you'd likely be forced to take significant reductions to both salary and PTO, particularly if you're not in a metro area or you're an older worker. It's easy to dismiss these realities, yet they exist.

if people left then they might realize they are the problem and not the company, plus some people just like to complain.
Yes, to the first three comments. We want to do meaningful work again. We're hoping that things will change - as they have in the past. If all that fails, then at least give us a severance package as we're pushed out the door.
You know who's even happier? Employees who got paid to leave.
Many people still harbor a small hope that they’ll eventually be recognized for their efforts. When that doesn’t happen repeatedly, they start looking for a new job. Finding that new job takes time. I bet many people are in this boat and appreciate coming to this board to see they are not alone.
So true. WF seems to be "going through it" right now. As far as RTO, I would suggest you keep your head down and follow the guidelines until this all blows over and things get back to normal as some positions can be 100% worked remotely. I think that HR has told the business lines that there needs to be a consistent message to avoid lawsuits.
