Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

We don’t care about our employees

32 year employee. Been told I need to buckle up and move to Dallas. My direct reports are also messed up. This is one screwed up company. And John was able to look the stockholders in the eye to justify is $25m/year when he is sending thousands in to unemployment. It is a travesty what these overpaid execs have done to the company since I joined. FU Stankey. Rot in h_ll.

All this chaos is going to cause loss of productivity, bad morale and customer dissatisfaction. When revenue drops, Stankey will have to explain to shareholders he f'd up AGAIN. Sooner or later, he will have to face a firing as his incompetency is so obvious and he desperately needs to be fired. Ok, never hurts to hope so back to reality . . .

I wish I had 32 years.

I have a countdown to leave at Modified Rule of 75.
If you have 32 years and must move then you've mismanaged your finances poorly.

Fake post, the OP has no details and made it up. Probably a craft employee or former.

Another post stating they have to move with not a single bit of detail.

Some groups have been notified via very recent town halls which cities will be their hubs. No specifics were shared on what will happen with those outside the hubs other than a follow up discussion will occur.

With your pension, 401 and new job you’d be fine.

I know they don't care about their employees which is why they should offer craft a VTP or whatever it's called in their contract. Let the personnel that want to leave go! You want to save jobs, just poll your employees to see who wants to stay and who wants to go, very simple HR operation!

Also, sorry for the typos. It's late and I'm in bed, on my phone. But yeah, would be good to know if we should be expecting a letter in the mail any day now. Every little bit of new information helps. Thanks

OP, may I ask for a clarification, please? We're you actually officially notified of where your new work location is? Is go, how was it done? They have mentioned a letter several times, and it was unclear if it meant an email or an actual letter in the mail. Or are you referring to the same set of official, but not yet final, information that we all got?

Look. There’s nothing anyone can say to make this better for you. Whatever you do, I hope it all turns out ok. He is a pitiful excuse of a person. He’ll answer for this one day.
