IT&V timelines for the reviews are too short and unreasonable for the amount of work that is expected. Many of the jobs will replaced with automation.
Automation and AI will replace most of Risk positions is what the industry is banking on. pun intended.
Agree.
IT&V, Control EBCE, front line QC and QA — all will be primarily done by India. They have been staffing up in the thousands for the last year.
EBCE represents a new entity which is easier to change and mold.
ITV is littered with red tape and isn’t flexible at all. ITV will spend weeks telling the business to update process maps because their methodology requires process maps meanwhile the business doesn’t use them anymore. It’s maddening and part of the reason ITV is getting gutted. They’re more of a headache than an asset
ECBE is no better. They would select controls that were undergoing or scheduled for control testing and come in behind us and just use our results. Useless.
Yeah once I noticed half of ITV is I&P I knew the group was in trouble. That group is just so inefficient that they’re likely too far gone for saving. Once the EBCE group gets up and running I expect a heavy majority of ITV will be moved overseas. You’ll likely have a few officers and managers to be the operation face but none of your testers will be domestic.
@ pvo you seem to be in ITV…leave…it’ll be best for you.
Independent Testing & Validation
IT&V is under Corporate Risk (2nd line)
what is ITV?
Agree. India and Philippines is beyond bloated with Control and Independent Risk Management jobs. These people are tripping over each other trying to invent work to do and “partnering” with their US counterparts.
The common knowledge that risk and control issues are at the forefront of the regulator concerns AND that WF has and continues to hire so many of those oversight risk roles overseas — speaks volumes about what CS really thinks of the American workforce and his future goals for this company. Absolutely disgraceful!!!
I hope so!
You need ITV to analyze and test controls - it would seem illogical at best given the company’s current situation
Is that corporate risk? I thought they were safe because of the asset cap…
