Why does it take so long for management to approve time off. They sure take theirs!

i put mine in 6 months ahead of time and it takes forever to get approved the only way i usually get it approved is when a manager comes up to me for one of those emergency i need a favor things that i excel at fixing. Then i say ok, what a coincidence i also need a favor and i do believe we can help each other out. thats how i get mine.

Most managers dont care about the associates. If you take vacation, they will be short that day and it's not like their gonna step up.

There is a rule. They have a certain amount of time. But they ignore it . If you raise a fuss they will jut make sure they deny your 6 months out because of needs of the business. Home office will NOT reprimand them for this because they paint you as being petty for thinking its a problem. There is also a sun down rule. If you ask them a question or bring them an issue they have to get back with you by end of day. Even if its just to say they are still working on the thing. But....... that is another one home office neve holds them to.

It's a crying shame how long they sit on requested time off. They make it impossible to make plans or reservations. There should be some kind of rule that it gets approved or rejected within a few days. They know if someone else has already requested that time off. They hold it over your head then act like they are doing you a favor when they finally (IF) approve it.
