A previous post has indicated that it is - any confirmation of that?

If you’re a local market customer facing employee, then it’s a hub.
I had a dream. St. Louis (Southwestern Bell Company headquarter before Ed Whitacre moved the headquarter to Texas) is being removed as a hub office and replaced with Chicago. :-)
Nothing has been officially communicated yet about the additional field hubs. Anyone saying otherwise is full of sheetz.
Yes it is now.
Any update on Chicago being a Hub?
What about WI?
Depends on the Org you are in. Legg said Washington DC, Dallas, Atllanta, 2 NJ Sites, San Ramon, and I think Seattle? I do not know about those other HUB sites listed above?
Yes, Chicago and several other locations are being classified as unofficial hubs. You won’t see this posted anywhere yet so as to avoid directly contrictating The Stankster, but don’t be surprised when it is quietly announced.
No Chicago is not a hub nor is it important. Ameritech was behind the times in every aspect and nothing good came out of Chicago or is housed there.
No, Chicago is NOT a hub.
no, pack your bags
Even if they declare Chicago a hub you are not safe if you are there. Remember, it is about roles. You can be in any hub but if it has been determined your role is being moved / consolidated to one or more different hubs you are no longer safe. I think people are overlooking this scenario. Being in a hub does not mean your role will remain in that hub.
I've listened to several leadership townhalls (beyond my own). I keep hearing that the only National hubs are Dallas and Atlanta, but there are 7 other collaboration centers. (Some people call them hubs, but most differentiate their wording). It also appears there is flexibility by specific business units. For example, the Legg organization is reducing the centers to only 4. Corey Anthony mentioned also looking at Chicago and Susan Johnson was more clear to add in Chicago. I've heard of one team fighting to keep Austin for a specific group as well. So - I think there net/net is that it 'depends' upon what group you are in. Just because you think you are safe, you might not be because your organization wants the role in a hub.
the susan johnson townhall someone said 'chicago is a strategic location for wtsc'
in the cory anthony townhall when asked why chicago is no longer a hub location they indicated they are identifying additional 'field' locations and Chicago may be on the list.
so no. its not a core site.
but based on business requirements they may people still working there.
so ask yourself, is this a national role, ie general knowledge worker job.
or is there some specific contractual or customer requirement keeping people working what YOU work on there.
and then wait for the phone call followed up be a memo/letter telling you the requirement of the job. you just need to live like up to 45 days before you find out.
these execs are evil
This rumor is being circulated by the Chicago employees.
Think about it from the aspect of the other employees not in “hubs” but not in Chicago. EVERY EMPLOYEE wants the company to come back and say the city THEY ARE IN is now a hub.
They are already telling employees in LA that it’s a temp HUB for some and others have to move.
If the company goes back and adds Chicago because of pushback what do you think the employees in other cities will do?? (Lawsuit)
Plenty of employees in other states with no HUB. If you are going to save one city why not save them all!
No, we don’t need no woke education
I have also heard that there is good chance they will add a few other hubs including Chicago. At least for phase 1
Nevermind I found it and OP is a mo--n and it was clearlt sarcasm. Gosuck eggs.
"The hubs are New York, Chicago, Charlotte, San Diego, San Antonio, Miami, Mexico City, Little Rock, and Mumbai."
Ken Griffin left Chicago.
Can someone share the prior post please? I have been following this very closely and cannot find it. This would be a game changer for me.
Frankly there is no building currently in inventory to handle it.
"Seriously, a total F."
We still have a lot of central offices on ISDN. What did you expect?
Yes, see prior post in which the specific town hall was referenced today and exec name, look it up and watch it with your own 2 eyeballs, close caption it, read it, listen to it, and interpret it as your brain sees fit. this is a communication company which is getting an F at communicating critical career info to its own employees internally. Seriously, a total F.
