Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

CIB lay off 6/15/23

Here is the deal. A big move from buildings in SF on that Thursday with everyone being told to WFH on the Friday. The move day is Thursday also a WFH day so they can move us obviously team members getting cut will be getting calls by 10am PST. This will be a Bay Area lay off only but will be a big one. I only know about the CIB people. An email will come out June 1 with the details about everyone WFH that Thursday/ Friday. Hope to be here and see everyone Monday June 20th.

Not too many real reasons for CIB employees to be in CA, so not really surprised.

People are laid off daily, but the mass layoffs do not happen on Thursday any longer, it's Tuesday and has been for months now.

He’s the 👺. I hope employees find a (legal) way to do to him what he has done to us.
Let’s cause him to lose his job, let’s clock how many days per week he’s coming in to the office, destabilize his financial security, disrespect him, rate him on a bell curve with his peers (Fail!), discriminate against him, undermine him, speak out in public about his use of the company stock buybacks to personally profit, vote against him and his recommendations, support the Union even if you don’t like Unions, speak out about all the actions he is taking which are clearly against the best interests of Wells Fargo’s customers, contact a WSJ journalist to write a story about Wells Fargo’s offshoring, ask the tough questions in Townhalls, speak out publicly about the fact that he’s not man enough to take the tough questions in his Townhalls, start petitions, use Loudspeaker, comment on public articles about Wells Fargo.

Keep it legal. Keep it truthful. But let’s push for a CEO who is not the typical sheltered spoon-fed Wall Street executive, as Warren Buffet so intelligently recommended to the BOD 4 years ago.

Yes. When companies who don't like employees to work from home then tells them the company is closed and to work remotely. It means they plan to fire them and not go through the headache of having security escort them out of the building.

They are growing CIB. Closing positions here and opening them in NYC where our CEO is. He has yet to step foot in SF where our headquarters are and where Henry Fargo is buried.

@bjf+1 You are for sure a Wells Fargo employee. Reading comprehension. Did you see this post say anything about tech people? Nope. This is CIB bankers and support staff still sitting at 550. There are still 2 floors to move so you are right we aren’t going to move then lay off we are going to lay off on Thursday the WFH day then people who survived will know their seats on the following Monday.

idk about this....there is a meet and greet with a tech lead the week prior and then a reception with another lead the next day...one of the buildings is also having team meet and greets in lunch rooms on many floors put together by the building management this week for all of the tech moves from 550 California. Pretty sure if you are already moved, they wont let you go (it costs a lot of money to move the groups).

I thought our not-so-esteemed CEO has been making a big hullabaloo about GROWING Investment Banking??? He’s in the news as saying “roughly half of the bank's revenues come from its corporate & investment banking division and the services it provides to middle-market companies.”

Is he trying to completely dismantle the west coast region, or what do you think is going on?
