Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Cost Savings

We all need to pitch in and follow DA's example. He is taking a pay cut from 1.7 million to 1.3 million for his new made up part time role. That's a 23% pay cut. He is leading by example. We have no reason to ever complain about a little furlough.

Cost savings is way too much. Too many things broken.

Agree with you, lots of rumblings, and my manager outright said there will be furloughs AND RIF's (Reduction In Force) this year. Timing, do not know, but it is already end of May, who knows? And really, I do not care. Personally, like many on this site, I went ROAD years ago. That would be, Retired On Active Duty. Covid has been the best blessing for many of us, WFH, keep that status green, charge whatever yield they want, 47 hours "no problem", Can you put some more hours in on those TPX reports? "no problem, 60 to 65 hours good, GOT IT NUMBA ONE MANAGER" F them all. The last 3 years at honeyhe11 have be the best of my entire career, to be very honest. Once a week day trips with the wife, spend a lot more time with the kids, walk the dogs twice a day, mountain bike during the week, and the best part, get paid a high band 4 salary for NOT working. My jerk boss thinks I am a rock star, been a Block 2, Block 4, Block 4 during the scam-demic. Hoping for another bat flu, to shut the country down again, that should get me thru retirement ! It is all perspective folks!

Been hearing rumblings at Engines about some sort of pay savings. Not sure if it is a rolling furlough around the next holiday or actual "census reductions". My boss has been in a lot of meetings and she comes out with a sour face. When I bring it up, she says she can't discuss anything at this time.

Hiring the meek and the indentured is a major part of the cost savings strategy in the corporate sweatshops.

Sorry if already posted here, but I keep hearing about the coming furlough, my engines boss and director even mentioned it, just no timing or how it works. All new to this, and yes, will not be here in a year, just finding a new job in this bad economy is not as easy as many say. thanks.

Reality is he is getting pushed out. Because, he did not meet his target.

He is getting tow line to find another job, so soon he will find something else.

At corporate level, if you fire the CEO, than the stock takes a dump.

DA is on his way out, calming the stock market and then disappearing.

I wonder if DA is still going to get bonuses and stock awards? Executive compensation is more about the bonuses and stock awards than salary. DA's salary has been around 10% of his total compensation per year. Whereas with me, salary is 100% of my compensation. They may say that I received a 401K contribution, but given when it was awarded and its performance today, I'm down. Honeywell is all about compensating executives and taking from its employees. I'm about done here.
