Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Yammer Questions

I see all the questions on Yammer being liked and loved, but not answered.

“If I’m virtual currently will I stay virtual?”
NO- less than 10% of the ENTIRE workforce will be virtual and it will take VP or above approval.

“Will we be able to choose the hub or office that is convenient for us?”
NO- you will be assigned by org and role

“But my job is super important and I should be treated differently than everyone else .”
NO- you are just another cog in the corporate machine.

“What additional incentives will be provided for me to return to office?”
LOL- you get to keep a paycheck.

“My kids are off school for the summer and I thought I would just get to stay home with them, now I have to find childcare “. One lady even asked if she could bring her kid to work all summer!!
NO- you had the child AT&T did not.

They sent out the answers to the Yammer Questions as a FAQ to Mass Markets team members this evening.

I find it comical that it is call Yammer.

Definition:
To talk volubly and often loudly.
To complain peevishly; whine.
To utter or say loudly or in a complaining tone.

I believe those questions were meant for a live town hall event. I was reading them too, and wondering the same thing... no answers, but then I realized it was set up for people to ask question, so someone can answer them on a town hall. I wasn't on it, so IDK what was answered.

Look, everyone that has been virtual can be grateful for the time they had. Unfortunately that time is up!

For the youngsters here, let this be a valuable lesson , in corporations NOT GIVING A fck about you or your life . Take the paycheck ,do the minimum , work is only a means to and. End.

Next time in a town hall when some golden parachute equipped executive talks about the team or collaboration, try not to vomit in your mouth , it's all corporate theatre ...

Plan your life accordingly.
