Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Slash and Burn. Take the Forrest to the ground and see what

Is left. No relocation, no severance, nothing. The employees are the barbarian hoard while Executives sit perched up high above the fray worries about their options. End game is ATT is chopped up and sold piece part out. Stankey will claim victory for the shareholders when this all gets sold off for the equivalent of $9 per share.

Why you wanna take Forrest to the ground? Come on Jenny!

We all know many of our grandparents and great grandparents probably have/had stashes of paper certificates and some still hold them because they don't read the internets or check stock prices.

Seriously, T has counted on stockholders (personal investors and fund managers) to just hold for the dividend. I would imagine that some of the funds that are known for their Dividends are some of the biggest holders because they are funds, Ts falling price is probably not as noticeable. But, with the dividend cut, I'd imagine some of those funds may be letting go of shares.

Watch T stock sinking. Is below $16 now. What is your prediction? Seems like even cutting 15k jobs will not help. T stock went down almost 25% from last year. Ouch, it is painful.

What makes you think stockholders will end up with anything?

At least when shares were typically held as paper you could wipe your bu-t with worthless stock certificates, or sell them on eBay for one cent on the dollar as collector's items. AT&T won't even be good for that in 10 years. Just push a button and it goes away.

Stankey is as contemptuous of stockholders as anyone else - after all they continue to enable this charade or they allow their fiduciaries to, so why should he not be?

They deserve to get screwed.
