Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

DSRI Listening Tour

With all the performance issues Wells Fargo has, management believes it is a good idea to take 2000+ away from their actual jobs to discuss the nonsense that is DE&I. Not to mention they have allocated a person and I assume staff to 'work" on this issue full time. This is a complete misuse of resources by management.

If we allocated those resources to actually performing banking services and functions for our clients, I think Wells Fargo would be much better off.

The adults need to tell the children, play time is over let's get to work.

When Kristy Fercho ran WFHM, WFHM was competing, and WFHM was winning. I’m glad she got promoted to such a visible and important role.

I also really enjoyed the video of her and a bunch of other executives dancing. Very fun and not at all inappropriate with how many layoffs they were doing at the time.

"There is literally nothing else in the world I care about less than DE&I initiatives."

Same. They're pointless lip service and far, far down the list of glaring problems with this bank. That's why us normals are tired of the daily rage bait post whining about them; they're as much a distraction as the initiatives themselves.

All employees should be treated equally and fairly. No sane person disagrees with that.

Beyond that? There is literally nothing else in the world I care about less than DE&I initiatives. There's no proof they accomplish anything other than providing salaries to overpaid glorified HR reps, and on top of that they waste everyone's time.

Concerns about the location strategy negatively affecting team members were common in these meetings, yet there is no mention of it.

The most visible male chauvinist elitist racist at the bank is our unconsciously-biased CEO. All the mandatory training and hiring policies in the world won’t change minds when Mr. “Do as I say, not as I do” is at the helm. It reminds me of Jerry Falwell Jr fining students for holding hands. It’s all for show. We all know it’s for show.

Give us a CEO who sets an example by leading with ethics, fairness and honesty if you really want to change the culture. Everything else is a bunch of malarkey, and people resent the malarkey.

Zesty ranch corn puffs. Orange Fanta. Loaded tots and fiesta chicken tenders. These is just a few of the option available on campus for your RTO journey. Other (additional) option include Nashville hot wings and drummies, double stack patty melts, Flamin hot Cheetos and harvest cheddar potato crisps. Thank
You and have a bless day

In the article linked within the email, there's a picture of the group of DEI "professionals" who met in person to discuss these "important" issues. By my count, there are 36 women in the picture and 6 men. Very equitable!

And remember, folks: "DE&I is not something we do 'on the side' of our business. It IS our business!" Please be assured that as the stock tanks, as you're forced to spend more time in the office, as jobs are offshored and Americans are laid off... our DE&I programs are ever-expanding and consuming more resources.

It's all bad timing and sloppy. A good company can have multiple efforts going on at the same time without any detriment.

I wonder why YOU didn’t have this same energy when POC and women were not getting hired for roles they were qualified for but were passed over for yt men who couldn’t perform the basic tasks of a role? You probably sat in a office full of people who looked like you and was “ok” with that, huh?

Charlie’s 20 million dollar payday, Doctor Whatever His Name Is, and the DE&I Chickie are the three BIGGEST wastes of company time, money, and resources. Absolutely ridiculous. None of them are worth a damn but the board loves to let them loose to gaslight, demoralize, and suck the air out of every conversation and everything they touch at Wells Fargo. Just close the doors and sell off the pieces already. The buzzards have already picked the good meat of the bones and defected everywhere else.🤦🏻‍♂️

Once I read the subject and saw the cheesy smile and immediately deleted that email 🤣 what was she babbling about while the rest of us were driving to the office all week?

Complete waste of time and resources.

Unless you agree with everything WF DE&I promotes, your opinion and truths are not genuinely welcomed and you are told you are the problem.
