Selective surplus will follow. No severance for job abandonment. Those needed will get sick leave or a pip.
Let's all take JUNE 2 OFF in protest!!!
You can ALWAYS walk of the job. Anytime you want and from any job, except the military.
Everyday you report to a job you have completely made that decision yourself.
I like that you linked to the article in the WaPo which is owned by Bezos.
go for it, let us know how that works out for you
We could, but we aren't organized enough.
Why there are people who spread fake news and misinformation? This new RTO scam is not invented by T. T has been always a follower not a leader. Amazon, Google and others announced same/ similar policy earlier this year.
Company will be just fine cutting 15% that aren’t located in a hub. Just think of the huge cost savings to the business.

Immediate
Termination
They're already counting on you being gone. The whatsit that is so important to you, so critical a task or system with an SLA, where your absence would degrade the customer experience, is less important than getting you off the payroll. You not being at your station is what they're after, not more productivity or collaboration. If you choose to ignore your job duties, they could get you off payroll that much sooner.
For 85 percent of the company, this is an insult, a time and money eater, a morale ki-ler. For the 15 percent not in hubs, it's tear up your roots, move your family, downsize because the mortgage you have now is not the mortgage you would get now, life changing disaster as reward for a job well done.

I think the first 15000 that do will be fired for cause. No severance and no unemployment benefit. I think AT&T would welcome this, no matter who you are or what job you do.
