CEO admits to not doing job right

And yet is still paid $MM per year.

Probably if I was doing my job right, probably [I] should have stumbled to that earlier and probably should have immediately understood that given what took place in 2022, that people would, without listening to what’s being said or whatever data was put out there, go to a ‘déjà vu all over again’ moment, [and] say, here we are again, we’re just going through this process that occurred in the early part of ’22 to guide down on cash.”

He didn't say "wrong". He said, "Steamed hams. Mmm, mmm. Steamed hams."

Seriously, as the days go by I am increasingly convinced they want to chase off 15% of the workforce without worrying about EEO. Easy way to corral senior, older, highly paid folks and send them down the chute.

[Here's the cue for the "it's your choice, not theirs" crowd. I'd ask you: if you were told "new hub or bust", would feel the same way? Because if this policy goes forward, that's in the cards.]

Stanley should go..he has bungled TMobile, DirecTV, Time Warner and now cash flow… the stock has tanked under his leadership…Amazing that the Board puts up with this lost performance…he continues to make multi- millions while forcing many thousands out of their jobs…he hasn’t done his job by any objective measure…needs to go

What he should admit to is that is that AT&T's debt in 2012 was $60B. Now it's $120B. In just a few years this "leadership" team managed to set $60B on fire and got absolutely nothing for it.

Too bad it's not a Japanese firm, then maybe they'd feel compelled to do the honorable thing.

Fake news. Nobody in the C - Suite has ever made a mistake and they would certainly never admit to it.
