RTO policy is a clever way of indirect layoffs

Let's be honest , this is nothing more than a clever (albeit shady) way at culling the herd in terms of employees.

By forcing everyone with few exceptions into the hub locations, it means your basically forcing the resignation or termination for many who can't simply uproot their lives . This is all this is. All the bs about collaboration is such a lame reason, why don't these leaders at least have some ba--s and tell folks the truth, instead of pu--yfooting around it.

Anyways , all this just reinforced why you should always look out for yoursslf first and always take advantage of any company, while you can.

Like the HC cut for retires in 2021, the hub move is another pain point to force people to make a decision. Stay or go? Yes - it is an indirect layoff. At some point - all employees will have to make a decision like this in the future - so start planning.

I think some people get confused by a reasonable distance clause, which I believe is applicable in almost every state, if not all. If you live within 50 or in some cases maybe 100 miles, then forcing you to come to the office would not be considered unreasonable, but asking you to relocate to another state, should definitely qualify you to receive a severance.

Well let’s say they are forcing people to make a life changing decision relocate and up root your home or quit. So they are forcing people. It’s only affecting management employees they are changing retail space , field workers or occupational workers, so we know it’s BS they will always be in 50 states and have buildings in those states for those people to work. It’s about shrinking head count and managers are the ones being targeted this time.

Completely wrong!
If you're role is moved and you decline the move you're entitled to severance. It's considered constructive dismissal due to an unreasonable change in work. As per the severance plan, you're entitled to it if changes in the organization causes you to lose your job.

The skilled will move on to other companies and the marginally skilled will begrudgingly commute 4 hours a day three days a week to their new location. So… T once again ends up with the cream of the cr-p and wonders why nothing get done.

Force is the CORRECT word. You have two choices (really three). MOVE, QUIT (Stankeys word), or wait to be fired (laid off). You are FORCED to do that.

DO NOT RESIGN. WAIT FOR YOUR SEVERANCE.
