Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

At least we don't have to worry about layoffs anymore

So many people will walk away that layoffs will not be necessary for who knows how long. It's all about silver linings, right?

There must be a lot of people close to the rule of 75 that Stank needs to stop if we're gonna be doing layoffs every 90 days

Layoffs will continue on and on, for 1 reason. They want you gone. Then they will limp along until they decide if they need to hire a younger cheaper version of you. Or, they may hire dupek slimankigarbajarba in India at 1/5 your pay.

So many people are going to be leaving over the next few months I think it’s going to be hard to even operate. Stank is expecting maybe 15k loss, it’s going to be a lot higher than that.

Layoffs will continue for the next 3 years. Many organization's are in the planning phases for the next round of cuts. Affected Work Group (AWG) data has been pulled, and is required to be submitted by 5/26. The next targeted impacted call will 6/22 with 7/7 off payroll date. The pre-notification call has been eliminated, just 2 calls consisting of impacted (14 days off payroll) and not impacted. According to the most recent road map, there is a scheduled layoff every 90 days for the remainder of 2023. Company is not in a good place right now, so sad.

A ton of ‘For Sale’ signs will soon be put up by early protestors. Many know their options outside of T are limited and will tow the company line.

You’re deluding yourself. I bet they only got 20% of their headcount reductions through voluntary resignations.
