Sponsorships. I know there are contracts that are difficult to get out of, but don’t sign another deal for at least 5 years.
If I have to see The Stank sitting with Jim Nance at The Masters, or Lori Lee at The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Tired of seeing the worn out Lily commercials all over the AT&T-sponsored NCAA Tournament. Or T-T NBA show. How about the $20M+ going to that POS Jerry Jones for naming rights on that stadium for at least 10 more years. Have you ever watched a Cowboy game and thought maybe you need to buy a new data plan from AT&T the next day? Still putting the name on the San Antonio Spurs arena, but telling all those SA employees to get out. And I haven’t even touched all the DEI sponsorships that have zero ROI.
When will “leadership” realize that the Brand & Globe are so shot that having it plastered all over everything, spending cash you don’t have for those “exposures”, for a return that can’t be measured to show that there is investment in the communities, is a fireable offense by those leaders.
What’s the annual budget for naming rights? $200M? $300M? $500M? That could help cash flows. Drain the Swamp.
