They want you back in the office so they can brow beat you in person. Doing it by phone or on a zoom meeting doesn’t give these sadists the same pleasure

Don't you just love it when that c0cksvcker Charlie Scharf talks about Earth Day while forcing thousands of salary slaves to burn fossil fuels to commute to the office for no good reason?
There are only two groups of people who are not pi---d about RTO:
First, friggin workaholics. The people who will be on their deathbeds and say "I wish I had worked harder for Wells Fargo."
The second: people who genuinely hate their spouses and/or kids. It's a good thing covid happened AFTER my divorce. If I had worked from home with my ex for two years one of us would be six feet under and the other would be in prison.
Does H1B visa have on site requirement? Is that why we are forced to come back?

It's hilarious that nobody posts all the articles that promote going into the office. Just stick your head in the sand like a politician to stay on the agenda.

If they are doing this to force attrition, it is working. The sad part is, they are also forcing disengagement. Why should I care when I intend to leave by end of year?

If you are not customer facing....why should it matter? mgmt control? hoping we don't comply so we get fired (no severance)?
This is simply an example of how complacent America has become. Our economy is heavily dependent on a more than a century old methodology that is proven to be horribly inefficient.
This will be a huge reset that our corporate, city, state, and governmental "leaders" will fight because it upends the status quo.
Stop fighting nature and adapt.
Maybe it’s time to turn some of that office space into housing space.
Blackrock and Vanguard are pushing companies to do this on behalf of their partners in crime (our politicians) in advance of next year's election. I guess it's not a very good campaign platform to have our nation's cities run into the ground! :p
The cities are dying. Nobody wants to go to work in a crime ridden shithole any more.
I see too many videos of public transportation of mentally Ill people harassing citizens with no repercussions.
I refuse to work in a city. I’ll do RTO in my suburban office, but will never go into the city just because I don’t want to.
Commercial real estate mortgages can default, small businesses in metro areas can go under and companies can lose out on tax breaks afforded by local governments. Long story short they’re gonna mandate that we go back everyday by 2025.
