Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

We are going backward

Corporate America is on their way back to the gilded age of the late 1800’s. Extremely long hours, no weekends off, little to no benefits, abject poverty, raises nearly nonexistent, company towns with company chit for pay which was only good at their stores. It was near serfdom with many ki-led due to unsafe working conditions or dying at an early age by being overworked with poor health, no money and in despair.

It resulted in the rise of Unions and all the labor, safety laws and benefits (healthcare, pension’s, paid time off, wage increases, etc..) everyone enjoys today. Unfortunately organized crime groups was a major influence on them in the 50’s-70’s in some of the larger unions (Teamsters aka Jimmy Hoffa) and caused a dislike/hate for unions in the corp world. So a lot of people only think of the bad but not back to history and all the good that unions brought about by having a negotiated signed contract, just like the C-suite enjoys now.

We now need a resurgence of balance to mitigate this runaway Greed! Unions are a good vehicle to do this with proper governance and oversight to stop the same thing that’s happening in Corporate boardrooms and C-suites now.

Spoken like someone that believes in fairness. To earn and benefit according to one’s education and abilities, merit.

It’s part of the elite’s one world government plan, it was corrupt in the 1800’s but even they didn’t have world wide commercial air flights, internet and communications. It’s potentially going to get worse due to chasing the lowest labor, tax and infrastructure cost.
