Anthem will be laying off 17 employees eff 07/01/23. Telling employees that they need to dow grade but yet they have 30 temp emplotees from India being trained. Make sense? He-l no . They want to close the union office in Rancho Cordova so they can cut pay less miney. So sad for people who hVe been there since the 80's. Employers just dont care anymore and the CEO lines her po kets with $500k bonuses.

Laid off over 400 yesterday. All over bad decisions at the top and Sr. Leadership. Financially they are in bad bad shape.
Let's face it, if they could get away with sending the entire company offshore they would do it. ELV is very careful to stay under the radar and out of the media.
Of course the Board and Chiefs would always stay onshore though, someone has to collect the riches.
Also, these jobs can easily be moved to H1B workers, and offshore.
Correct grammar or not .. point is made .. this company will replace anybody regardless of your loyalty or how long you have worked with somebody with less skills and experience as long as they are paid less. All about the bottom dollar with this company.
Maybe they only want associates who check their spelling before hitting 'send' on communications.
@OP+1m930lu2, I think the crypted message is eluding to , recognizing lower performing or redundant job performers that people have been doing ( or getting away with only doing one thing nothing else ,for example spreadsheets, if that's all you do, just an example ) for years. These jobs can easily be moved off shore. I say that because we were shown slides of the movement of ' on shore' employees jobs to off shore is now on a fast track. And that was mentioned People will be notified there job is no longer needed, or whatever they say. In addition the slides also had timelines of getting people back into the office.
