Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Surviving by ignoring the surroundings

I really need this job, but lately I've been thinking that I might even take a slightly lower paying job just to get rid of this toxicity that is affecting my health. Who can last long at HON? Only those willing to bury their head in the sand every day and pretend not to notice what is happening around them.

I got out of Aero this past fall and landed a great gig with another aero defense contractor in my area. I was just telling another former honeyweller this week how crazy it is that my mental and physical health have both improved dramatically since escaping, he had the same experience when he got out a few years ago.

The tenured crowd is STUCK and puts up with the BS for the sake of pensions and what they try and call a 401k, the newer ones see no incentive to stay long term and leave for greener pastures after gaining go the experience. No retention because the package is not even close to being competitive.

Just remember that every time you hear the word efficiency it really means “not done here”.
The outsource king is running the show. Let the CM kickbacks roll in.

They don’t care. In fact, I think they like the abuse of power that is illustrated by destroying lives and holding people hostage with the threat is legal action if they leave.

My health is suffering too. Was almost hospitalized twice in recent months. I don’t know what needs to happen in order for the company to care. I know a lot of people are struggling.

Excellent… no layoffs required. Tighten the screws and attrition will get it done.
We will be 25% more efficient (wink wink) by next end of year for sure. 75k employees is the target … here we go!

Both of you have summed up what it is to work here now. Employees are just expendable commodities to the leaders here or worse yet, just taking money from their bonuses. Chernobyl isn't as toxic as Honeywell is now.

Anyone who claims a toxic workplace is also responsible for the toxicity. You probably just happen to be on the "losing" side which sucks but that's all on you. Maybe you should've been kissing the other side's a-s. Oh well.

It’s affecting my health too. I’m so worn out by the end of the day from stress and dealing with leaders that aren’t qualified to do the jobs they’re in, I’ve got nothing left for my actual life. Definitely need to reevaluate what I’m doing here.
