VOE just before the big D makes “efficiency” speech

Interesting that the latest VOE survey comes out and is set to close BEFORE our soon to be ex CEO makes his big announcements on May 9 about how we need to make more cuts and be more efficient. Guaranteed he is leaving with higher marks than we’d give him after those announcements. Really hating every bit of smoke and mirrors this company does. Why does every move made have to be political, instead of legitimately good for the company?

You guys haven't seen nothing yet. I expect major RIFs across all divisions.

Sell off of divisions and product lines. While you can still get top buck. Who cares if the spin-off company or when they sell division. It doesn't make it.

They made their money. The smoke and mirrors. They'll make everything look like it's so profitable. Then when the new ownership realize how big of a mess it is in. Then they'll file for bankruptcy.

You're in a movie. It's called The Honeywell Poseidon adventure. A tidal wave is coming. You will not survive. It will not be like the movie. Be prepared to drown.

It’s funny, my food chain upper listed “all of our accomplishments” and it’s a joke. We really accomplished that? 1. Build stronger connections with the team and strengthen collaboration. No. Worse $hit $how than it ever was before. 2. Instituted weekly staff meetings. Uhhh that was there before you took over for the poor person who earned the job you landed because you …. (Insert reason here-use your imagination).

Going down the list is one BS line after the other. Surely that will make HR happy even though everyone knows it’s a load of - .

There’s a reason HR VOE surveys don’t separate out feedback for your immediate supervisor and further up the food chain. My direct boss is actually competent. Probably why they weren’t promoted. I can’t say what I think without it applying to them instead of leadership beyond that person.

True. HR is complicit in the toxic culture so the VOE is pointless. All the quality HR leaders left. The HR leaders who are left, participate in the abuses

The V.O.E. is a worthless exercise to distract the employees. Management will always pick the easiest to achieve items, which are not costly and thus not impactive at all. They only want to say/show that they are involved. I've always answered the V.O.E. objectively and honestly. Now, I don't see it meaning a blasted thing and will answer it accordingly. You can bet that whatever the result, the V.O.E. will be presented as great achievement by the executive leadership team.

It's why I never understood paying attention to anything above my +2. We did real work, while boot lickers and PEs with 20yr old profile pics get bossy. Their world is all jabber... no real substance. And they dont listen to anything but who submitted critique. But keep it moving meg... you got heights to achieve.

They are making millions to fake it. As long as bad behavior is well compensated, it will continue.
