Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

1st Quarter Earnings: 4/14 - Friday

Plus 3 to 5 percent or minus 3 percent in Stock? They might surprise everyone with a blowout quarter by picking up business from other failed banks and nervous customers looking to switch

Back when profit sharing used to be loosely tied to company performance, I used to care. Now? No, I don't. In fact, if it will get rid of Charles faster I hope the stock takes a dive.

don't forget that CS will also talk about how all the recent problems coming to light predate him and therefore he can't be held responsible.

Revolves around Net interest income. If down CS will announce layoffs. Layoffs none of us know about. CS will talk about picking up deposits, history of stress testing, and anything else to hide the facts. They will not talk about the coming crisis in commercial lending or of how rapid increase in interest rates is causing/going to cause all kinds of risk (not stress tested), the petro-dollar crisis or anything else of importance. CS will parrot Jamie Dimon and talk about contributing to the regional-bank bailout, how it is ending, how banking needs more rules, how the little guys should be allowed to fail but not to spread this failure to other banks.
The stock holders will probably go on and keep invested in the banks and all will keep paying the upper management the big bucks we all know they deserve...NOT

With our reputation, why would anybody be running to WF? Plus, not sure what type of business we are running anymore when CS keeps announcing that we aren't doing normal banking any longer.

Up or down, it'll be a minor data point to provide much insight considering how much is still running on the fumes of low interest rates. The general storyline is WF will annoyingly (for some on this site) be on the upside by many years of passing stress tests, working within the asset cap and staying relevant, divesting businesses and joining forces with the investment bank dark side (GS, JPMC, BofA, etc).
