For those of us who were laid off as top mortgage producers in “non key states” Feb 21, how many of you received the bonus last year of 5bps monthly and 5bps at the end of 12 months for staying with Wells Fargo after they stripped WFA and WIM away from us? I wonder if this was our parting gift paid early? If you are still at WF and didn’t get this extra comp, did you even know about it? I was asked to keep it confidential as not everyone was offered this.

I worked with WFA and wasn’t told about this. Proof?
Is this same guy who made $80k from 3 loans last month?
Was this different than the Presidents Club bonus of 5bps monthly??
If the company is afraid of such things "getting out" it should probably be a "sign" to them that they are doing things wrong. Take action you can be proud of, for crying out loud, because you will never keep everything secret among a quarter million people. Anyone thinking they can shouldn't be running anything risk adjacent, that's for sure. They are in the wrong industry.
Love the person who got bent out of shape about this. They can also encourage not to share your salary…but it’s illegal to prevent you from doing so.
There are lots of things crooked companies don’t want their employees to do, and it’s not because they care about what’s right and wrong.
“So they ask you to keep it confidential, and your knee-jerk reaction is to race to the layoff site to post about it?”
Posting about it here 10-12 months after the fact is hardly a knee jerk reaction. And do you want to know why they ASK employees to not discuss it instead of making confidentiality a requirement? Its because that would actually be illegal. Skirting the law by requesting instead of requiring, very WF’ish.

I see nothing wrong with that. WF destroyed careers of many long tenured producing bankers, and apparently not everyone got the same treatment. They should be exposed if this was going on.
I was laid off and worked with WFA and I knew nothing about the extra basis points.
As they should! This company needs to be outed every step of the way when they are underhandedly cheating people out of deserved compensation. It's disgusting (actually not surprising) that WF lets people go and then tries to secretly deny benefits that people rightfully deserve.
Keep up the good work Chuck
