Pension

For the people with pension, did the numbers come out correctly?
Mine are off big and nobody can explain why.

I haven’t started mine still working but the model is very close to the old model
My guess since our pension has social security in the formulas when that went up a bit our pension goes down a bit but it’s not a dollar for dollar conversion

You should be able to request the exact formula for your pension plan and calculate in excel within a few dollars

They had my start date off by quite a few years, in their favor of course. But it was resolved.

After the shock of the Fat Cote robbery in 2015, the monthly amount matched the last estimates very closely. They screwed me out of 800+ a month by freezing the pension in stead of phasing in the freeze like Boeing, Northrup and Lockheed.

Crooks!

If there is a QRDO, they don't follow the court order. I found that instead, they use present value and gross up the amount for the ex spouse. It's very bad, and done automatically by the actuary without thinking.

My monthly check was the same as the website model. Maybe it is your payout selection (100% joint survivor versus just you). They do wrinkle with the formula to favor them but the payout shouldn't be significantly different.
