I was laid off last year and see that role has been refilled and it’s to someone internal in Mexico. Corporate bs

@gskk - The Force can have a powerful effect on the weak-minded.
Hesitantly going to say that I can’t help but feel this is due to the current political status in the US. Say what you will about our last president, but at least it seemed that side of things was focused on the American economy and keeping/making GOOD jobs in America. Yes, Honeywell is an international company, but with a huge presence in the US and wants US customers, and should not be able to desecrate SBG’s and employees’ lives in the way that they have recently (jobs not going away, just being given away to employees in other countries)
The industry is long past its prime, and the remnants will be offshored in short order. Few last past age 50, and virtually none reach normal retirement age.
Glad I made that HIPAC donation to allow these decisions to happen so an EEO complaint is dealt with post haste to ensure this is swept under the rug. Nothing to see here.
Future Shaper…….for some Mexican.
Future sh!tter for the US.
Brilliant, absolute brilliance according to finance who gets a chubby on these types of initiatives.
The future is what YOU make it. F Honeywell.
A tale as old as time
Sounds like good examples for a newspaper looking for “bring back jobs” counterpoint
HR seems to be all offshore now and no one has a clue what they are doing, payroll too is a mess. Take my advice and pay close attention to your payslips & end of year tax forms, hearing a lot of reports of errors and strange additions!!

Laid off from what location?
Uh, what do think is happening to all the Aero sites that were, or are being, closed?
This not breaking news. Bad news for US workers for sure but this certainly happening within a lot of companies.
In reality it isn't all bad news. Within a small circle of friends I know of 3 that got tapped and it was the push they needed. All 3 like their new companies much better. I also concede that this isn't really a high bar to cross compared to HON.
This happened in our team. Insultingly the positions in Mexico were opened only a week later. It is all going that way. Charlotte is increasingly becoming a token office to pretend Honeywell is American.
