With as many risk and control issues and consent orders that Wells has, it needs all the good talent it can get, but it severely limits its talent pool by excluding candidates not in 3 to 5 hubs. It's ignorant AF. Many other banks have roles open too, but since they're in the office and not in my state (near a major city and airport, just not a hub) then I don't apply to them. These roles have been open for 30+ days or more, longer.
So these banks would rather have unfilled roles and a lack of progress than an engaged, capable remote talent to do the work that they need to get done. Makes a lotta sense doesn't it!? Most people in banking aren't that bright anyways, it's usually egos and power and control over common sense and better judgment I've found. That's why so many have regulators on their azzes all the time for poor controls and risk management lapses and instead of running a bank serving customers and employees and growing revenues, they're answering and responding to regulators and often negotiating fines.
The entire industry is jacked up.
