Spend money near work today? If so, congrats you just fed your abusers. If not, good job n keep it up. Don’t forget to get creative with what you make for yourself. Not like the 3 repetitive options nearby are any better or healthier.

Nothing in my job description or duties says anything about going to sit in a random building all day for no reason. Wasting time driving around is detrimental to perf overall and obviously the tanked morale isn't going to help either. This "RTO" nonsense has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of my work. Stop pretending these directives have anything to do with performance. It's nothing but a lie from our of touch super rich A-holes that would rather torment their workers so they quit than pay severance.
Support local small businesses around your office. This isn’t their fault.
Unless I want to take a 20 minute walk there is a parking ramp and a coffee shop to give my money too - unless you count the vending machines in the building.
Video games? Sounds like you’re a real treat to work with. Hopefully you’re not in mortgage operations and I can avoid your pi-s attitude. Cheers.
Seems many are mad they can’t play video games all day on Wells Fargo dollar. It’s a job that you agree to do, if you don’t like it then find another one you will like. Doubt you will find one you like though
You're a walking inefficiency and wasted a lot of time and money in that scenario.
In any event, sorry, I'm not putting a fake smiley face on the wanton stupidity coming down from the ivory tower. I bet you cheered on 8 is Great. What they are doing is bad for the company and it's future and I'm not going to pretend to like it.
Lol so many weak, beta bootlickers on this thread. Just do whatever you're told, all the time. Pretend as though you're ok with it, hoping others will think you naturally want to do whatever the thing is so that you don't look weak.
It's not working though. Others see right through it. You're weak.
It's too bad you guys are so lonely. The office, sadly, provides you with the only human contact you'll get all day. You must hate the weekends.
@oxq+1lqWWULN I needed the misguided woke lunacy laugh for the day and you did not fail to deliver. The best are the boot li---r anecdotes. As if your employer doesn't have rights to put reasonable requirements (like oh i don't know, going to an actual worksite) in the employment position descriptions.
@0xq How sorry I am for you… walking around so unhappy and miserable every day… this isn’t about bootlicking. This is about being a capable adult who can actually manage challenges or obstacles in a positive and productive way. I realize you may not have these life skills, but for your own sake you should try to develop some or you are doomed to be the wretched individual you have become no matter where you work or what difficulties are put in front of you. If RTO can make you this unhappy, what do real problems do to you? I’ll continue to make the best of my situation until I decide to make a change.
I don’t think Starbucks is struggling.
No, I will not spend a dime at or near work anymore. All food, gas, etc will be purchased close to home, not the pointless office.
I do, however, enjoy using all the consumables I can while in the office to increase expenses.
@wjr
You're not being an adult, you're just being your normal weak, beta self. A bootlicker. Someone (literally anyone) tells you to jump, you say how high.
But I understand that it's easier to tell yourself something else.
I'm more afraid of getting mugged if I walk down the street.
I bought breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria and then went for afternoon coffee at the coffee shop across the street. Talked with some great people in the office and bought some gas at the gas station next door before my drive home. It was a great day! This isn’t enabling abuse. It is called being an adult. You go sit in the corner and pout if you like. The rest of us choose to go out and live life in a more mature and positive way.
LOL I only stay 2 hours and then leave
I never really spent money near the building I have no reason to go to, so no change required here, but bravo OP. RTO must be opposed in ways big and small until whatever end. We will be victorious. Viva la Resistance.
I spent $150 on a ho---r. Mid day stress relief. She said she was taking a break from opening fake deposit accounts and appreciated the support.
Why do you equate supporting a struggling small business located near an office building as "feeding your abusers"?
Some of you need to pause your Netflix marathon for 15 minutes and go make your lunch for the office tomorrow. Thank me later.
Nope! My goal is 0 spending at or near work. I will survive on office coffee and desk snacks before I support RTO.
