Boy, has Sam's lowered the bar on good gm's. They treat associates like cr-p and assistant managers. I blame market managers.

Our last manager At 8173 Miramar, FL. Never came to work all the associates and including the managers couldn't believe how much this Club Manager got away with
I would ask the managers is the Club Manager coming today and they would say who's that and laugh. I been in this store over 20 years and NEVER seen someone not even come to work the whole Year and cooperate and the District Manager Tranfer him to Vero Beach Club. I probably seen him out of all last year Maybe 3 or 4 days a month especially after he received his Bonus last year we maybe seen him 2 times in 2 months time. The rumor is he's under investigation since he left and I'm hearing from associates he still is a Club Manger in Vero Beach. Cooperate what a joke Ethics what a Joke Camera footage don't LIE. Again where is Human Resources and Ethics I know a few associates that was fed up and called saying he was never in the Club. There next step is writing to the CEO. And if she don't get down to the bottom of Club Manager that was never there Maybe the District Manager and Steve the Regional she be let go for not knowing what's going on in there Club's one of the associates have contacts with the Media. I hope Sam's Club does the right thing so it don't get that far. One thing I would tell you others would never get away with that, he must have something on someone hire up. Where is the investigation because we all know it was launched. Manager's were called wake up Leaders.

Market Managers are the corporate equivalent of the guards of a WWII concentration camp. "Just following orders" is not an excuse for doing morally repugnant tasks without question.

All of our managers have been in the same club for more than ten years and with the company all for around 20 years. Except for our GM he is new to us. The assistants in our club all act like little children. All managers are like p-o. They all stink. some not quite as much as others and maybe from different species but they all stink. All managers eventually lie to the workers. All. Again some more than others but they all do. All managers play favorites. All. All managers hide helpful information from associates so the managers can control the club's narrative. All. All managers enforce company policies to suit their own concerns. All. Now there is one thing I think very few managers do and that is steal. Yep they dont steal because that is the one thing that if caught they will get fired for. We had a manager steal from associates. He got demoted and transferred but not fired. Only a theft from the company guarantees a manager firing. Any of the above ill ways of treating associates is practically endorsed by the company , so dont even call ethics. They will tell your manager who will then find a way to fire you. Some of you may harbor the illusion that you are buddy buddy with your manager. Trust me , they have likely already lied to you about something there at the club and you dont even know it. Managers are rumored to undergo brain transplants the turn them into a....holes within weeks of promotion. The ones who refuse the operation almost always step down from management because they simply can not embrace the dark world that is to be a manager.
The GM's are 2nd string pupet masters. The managers don't and or can't think for themselves. They are the worst group of managers seen in the clubs in years.
