Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Divestiture

Stankey has effectively dismantled Randall Stephenson’s legacy. Stephenson’s time as CEO was essentially a waste of time and money. AT&T is in a $100 billion sinkhole that will take the remainder of the decade to recover from.

"After spending over 130 billion in failed ventures, Randall enjoys retirement in Dallas, gliding around on his golden parachute."

And don't forget that after his failed mergers and being shown the door due to pressure from Elliott Management. Then after that side-show was "old news" AT&T hires Randi back as a CONSULTANT getting millions to give Stankey guidance. Can't make this stuff up.

You are correct. That is why T will have to cut, cut, cut. The cash cow can only go so far. It has been milked dry. Those Cush jobs are going away soon so T can actually be competitive.

Stankey was just a responsible for the mess AT&T got into as Randy was. Stankey was "proud" of the accomplishment Randy and he engineered. Big bonuses all around for the spectacular foresight (/sac). Now Stankey can "undo" the mess he helped get AT&T in and double-dip again for spectacular foresight (/sac again) and get a huge bonus. Just wow. The BOD is a joke in oversight and holding leadership accountable for their failures.

Keep on whining about the same old thing. That will show them.

This will make a perfect business case for lack of vision and contingency planning. Also the failure of the Board of Directors to impose any controls. The T-Mobile failed merger was a clear signal that Randall was not CEO material.

Stanley is terrible, but Randall is the one that got us in this mess. Both of them can go jump off a cliff.
