You will all be transitioned into management? What are you talking about? That is not possible since the company is legally bound by a collective bargaining agreement. Perhaps, after the agreements expire, but not a day before then. Please expound on your statement?
they dont have to take back the ET center layoffs last quarter because of the lawsuit agreement. they didnt include ET titles in the no layoff portion, only outside titles. all ET's got out of the agreement was the MLK day off as a holiday.
@zed+1lk1Kyck You will all be transitioned to exempt management positions. Those who don't take it will be surplussed.
I work in the NOC in irving under NIC contract anyone heard anything in this group if some will get laid off? lot of stuff has been recently automated in our group and its been very slow because of this so I am a bit concerned.
Every time I have to "Smart Chat" into a center, I am faced with a useless BOT. I can normally avoid the "BOT" by describing the problem differently, and will get a real person. This allows me solve the problem and go home on time.
If that agreement were true then they need to take back the recent involuntary layoff of 24 ET’s this past quarter in the SE. One eliminated group supported the 5 ess switch and are located in Carolina, the other group that supported ASE and Ethernet is located in Atlanta.
The Atlanta group is mitigated by the company offering SIPP to 12 ready takers. The 5 ess group are going in the job bank.
Doesn't necessarily mean T can't offer technicians the opportunity to leave earlier than planned by giving them a sweet severance package making their departure purely voluntary!
per honeypots secret agreement
"For the first time ever, after years of attrition of the technician of the technician work force, there will be a nationwide watermark on technician jobs--both core and premise/wire technician jobs---that ATT must maintain at least theough the end of 2023." there will be no involuntary surpluses declared among the outside technician work force until the end of 2023."
so in other words you cant read and you are wrong.
CO techs are in Core and the protection for other techs ended last year.
The 5/5/5 person is only blowing sunshine up your a$$e$! There will only be layoffs and no offers at this time! However, if some craft is in-fact protected until 2024, then anything is possible.
in D3 probably co techs no thanks to the CWA scabs. honeypot said co techs arent in the CORE. all other titles are protected from layoofs until 1st qtr 2024.
I can't drive 55! But I sure can collect that sweet enhanced buyout offer coming to a bargained for employee near you. 5 - 5 & 5 be keepin' hope alive! Yeah, baby!
2 years pay??? It’s only 10 weeks for us
Without my group prem tech and CO tech will no one to call if needed help. This is so messed up
Many of us on here see our jobs going away via automation and moving to cheaper labor however nobody on here actually knows anything about specifics of upcoming imminent layoffs because no matter how much we analyze and scrutinize from logical and reasonable vantage and views, the company's decisions are made from other inconceivable criteria. The most important thing here that actually matters is our termination pay per contract - up to two years pay - which makes getting the axe pretty darn sweet - thanks to the CWA union!
Still too much L3, 4 & 5 in all of ACE but leadership is given PowerPoints that make them think they’re all needed. No one looking at span of control anymore so lower levels get the brunt of layoffs.
Haven’t heard anything about the NOC.
I thought Business Field Services was a great revenue stream for T, reducing costs and saving operations expenses? The titles working in BFS are CE and NTS techs. Doesn’t appear to me that they will give up any of these techs based on their need to install SDWAN and WiFi Services.

BFS for sure. They are the worst performing group from a financial standpoint. The last quarter financials said it out loud.
Pay attention.
Not BFS DT. That’s for sure.
