Internally, the company has issued only a very brief general statement on the matter and apparently has wiped away any electronic trace of existence of the perpetrator, Derrick Simmons.
Given that Simmons had a past felony for as--ult with a deadly we-pon that HR apparently ignored or missed in their background check, Intel clearly screwed up from a risk management standpoint and exposed itself to liability for the death of the first victim (RIP Dan Foster) and injury to the second (wishes for fast recovery for Jaron Williams).
Does anyone know if any employees are being told or otherwise coerced by Intel Management not to discuss the matter freely in any way? Or if there have been any organized, internal discussions on the matter initiated by Intel Upper Management, HR, or Legal.
