Obviously just another flame post. Since my career has spanned in office and WFH, I can say with all sincerity that if a person screws around at home instead of working, they can sc--w around in the office too. There really is no justification to fire people just because they work from home.

I'm a bit confused here. Were tools like teams, email, internet, cell phones, texting, screen share, and vpn software created so that people should continue commuting to the office every day like thier parents' and grandparents' generations had to do? With rising gas prices, rush hour gridlock traffic in every major city, inflation going through the roof, and major concerns about greenhouse gases and global warming becoming a huge problem in the near future... do companies really have their priorities in order by forcing their employees to drive to a physical office every day? Doesn't that run counter to efforts toward reducing emissions, working smarter, alleviating traffic on the roads, and using available tools to work more efficiently? Talk about being tone deaf.
Yeah, because I can work better on back to back teleconference calls while sitting in a vacant office with no one from my team there. When I have to leave by 4pm to make it home vs working from home where I don’t have to worry about a commute and can work those hours instead or work later when needed.
Collaboration zone craziness may be back again. The majority of people who got hit this time in my organization were those remote workers not in the collaboration zones, mainly Dallas.

I work from home and love it! It's like having a part-time job and getting paid a full-time paycheck! I save wear/rear on my personal vehicle, save money on gas and don't have to work too hard! Good work if you can get it! Yes, definitely someone is very jealous!
