Business banking sales, 7.5% increase to base, 11% bonus, just over target, grade 13. Increase is same as prior year, last year’s bonus was further over target.

Would us bank give you a raise if you were going to get fired?

That is very unusual increase. 7 years there until Nov. You are lucky to get 2%. Often frozen or 1%.
REMEMBER: they are committed to being #5, so as BOA and WF decrease, USB has to as well. Acquisition of UB was a big asset, so branches will again start closing rapidly. It's been planned for months. They stated 2 years ago that they want to be FINTECH except presence in major cities. They stopped maintaining many properties. Technology is awful. HR and IT is outsourced. Worst place to work. I gave them 7 good years, hoping it would improve. RUN don't walk.

7% raises or even higher are common (can mean a few thousand extra). Especially if someone isn't at 90% of pay grade midpoint. Many times managers will shave pay raises from others that are above midpoint. Also, they will divert more short term to older employees, then shave part of their raises to younger employees. Despite what people say on here many managers try to do what they can to help their better and hardest working employees.

Hey D-bag that wrote the comment below. Sharing compensation information is protected under the National Labor Relations Act. The sharing of information empowers us all to negotiate higher wages. Get back under A.C.’s desk and start slurping punk.

“Sounds like a lot of bragging to me. Merit, LTI, bonus isn’t meant to be shared. If it was, it would be posted. I see you didn’t post your salary. Keep your numbers to yourself. Markets vary so what say Arkansas gets obviously isn’t what Oregon gets. You’re a mo--n”

Commercial and Retail are some of the most overpaid positions out there.

I'm the one who posted initially. I don't know why a 7 percent raise is that unbelievable in this market if your roles are in demand / busy . My business line was pretty solid all year, but as I noted above total compensation was still lower because of the bonuses. If it makes you feel better, my raise was only 2.3% last year.

Anyways, I'm all for compensation transparency as it helps everybody and we're just tiny little ants in the big scheme of things. It's unfortunate that some people are that jaded but perhaps that attitude is why raises don't happen for them.

I don't buy the 7% raise claim - don't trust your numbers

Berkshire Hathaway's form 13F indicates the have sold 91 percent of their U.S. Bank stock over the last 12 months, down from 71 million shares to a mere 6.7 million, once a favorite of the big guy, he's impressed no more, moving all in to Bank of America, Apple and lots of other real businesses not run by consultants.
