Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

They are totally disconnected

It's so annoying to hear the higher ups talk about the culture here. I mean, how do they expect to have a great culture if we have to constantly worry about getting cut? Me and my colleagues are extremely anxious about whether we will be left without a source of income, while those highly paid leaders are talking empty about the culture in the company. Sometimes I wonder if they are completely disconnected from the employees.
By the way, good luck to everyone!

1afu+1ld2FrGO has it right with the "relationship equity"... they schedule Teams online mtgs anywhere from 6 to 10 hrs a day, including lunch time. How are we going to build relationship equity when we're stuck in front of a laptop all day in a "collaboration zone", it's sacrilege to sit in front of that same laptop in online mtgs from home. LOL

Culture isn’t build by loud mouth or corporate policies, it is base on deeds.

Recent buzz word was relatiionship equity, how you need to be in office to build up. What a joke. I can tell my family that I will build great RE with them, and I do nothing to care for the their well being, take away psychological safety, threat to take away financial support, demoralize their hopes and dreams. That will go over so well. But hey, I can talk big about relationship equity! Honestly don’t how these mo--ns keep their jobs.

You said it empty talk! I attended a town hall today that new to company Jason Press says we may have to go in to collaborate. Id--t. They have sold all the buildings. What are they going to do? Change our TW status to full time at collaboration zone? Id--ts. We work with people all across the country. What difference does it make if we are at collaboration zone or home?

My boss(1st line) does absolutely nothing for 7 years then suddenly when the director says we’re a part of the surplus he’s suddenly trying to do his job. He’ll probably survive too.

First mistake is actually thinking that that they care.... You are just a number and are the biggest line item on the balance sheet. Just corporate people.

Higher ups live in a bubble and are out of touch.
