It's amazing how CPG intentionally designs spaces to be HORRIBLE to work in. Most people would prefer WFH, but for those that like to go to an office the remodeled spaces are beyond bad. You could literally just throw some picnic tables in a big open room and have better results. No privacy, loud as he-l, no opsec, minimal room to spread out, everything is sterilized because no one 'owns' their spot so it feels like you're sitting down at a faux office in Staples to try out a chair, not enough secure storage, the monitors are small and suck, the chairs suck, not enough sit/stand desks, the new IP phones are garbage. The network is slower than at home, which is just crazy. Distractions everywhere. Morale in the toilet, I hear more a kit layoffs and RTO being stupid in the break room than I do here. I'm sure that's what CS wanted us to get out of our "water cooler talk", but it's not going like he thinks it's going.
