Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Most of us here are just waiting for the package

Considering that the job market is not that bad I'm pretty sure that I could get another offer relatively easily, however, why leave now and miss the package..... What do you think, are the higher ups even aware that it was they who created the culture in which the majority of employees are just waiting for severance?

I was never asked to volunteer. Others that ended up quitting were never asked. It depended on what department you were in at least in my division.

How many who are "just waiting for the package" threw your name in the hat when they asked for volunteers? Or how many would, if they ask again? If not, why not?
Is there any chance of getting picked if you volunteer?

If you have zero ambition or are almost retired you might stay in Honeywell. Otherwise there is no reason to support that corrupt DA show.

Many, many of us on the quiet quit list. FM is a model of pretending to work, it is so funny to watch the few remaining people here play the game.

Waiting for a package is only appropriate for someone who will retire anyway. If looking for a job take the best offer. You will probably need to switch jobs several times to find a good fit so keep the resume out there.

You are not screwing them over. The company did that.
You, if anything, are giving them job security.

Yeah I am pretty close to being financially independent and that sweet severance would be a nice cherry on top. On the other hand they desperately need me and I would be screwing over my colleagues if I left. Loyalty to my colleagues only goes so far though.

The right time to switch is always now. Windows close as fast as they open. If you have an offer someplace you would love more, take it.

If you are 65yo though, hold out for am offer.

I've already quiet quit, doing bare minimum and just responding with generic messages to any complaint. I have two offers lined up but I have not given notice. I hope there is a package before I quit as I want to get some $$ for all the years of abuse

I not sure if they are aware of the current thoughts of a lot of employees who are being overburdened with excessive work. I for one intend to leave at the end of the year anyway and selfishly hoping for a package before I give notice. I know i’m not the only one.

Plenty of opportunity coming! I just stopped propping up my director and was straight on the next RIF list. M0ron was so predictable :)
