Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

The only significant benefit not already cut is…

…severances. No way the 26-week severance policy lives to see 2024. Twenty-six weeks is at least twice the amount required to get people to sign the term papers and go on their way.

4 years service or 2 weeks service you will get 4 weeks severance.
I had 4 years so got scr3wed the most, mind you if I had worked another year I would have only got 1 more week. Pathetic.

If I get RIF'd, I'll be sad on the outside, but grinning on the inside. Unless they try to RIF me without a package. Then it'll be lawyer time and then I'll be grinning.

The policy was 52 weeks. They cut it when they did massive layoffs in 2009, 2010. And I’m surprised it’s stayed 26 weeks this long. It’s best you use some unlimited vacation ASAP to boost your time out of office

The tiny package will only be of modest benefit as the economic situation deteriorates. Best to get out on your own rather than let others dictate the agenda.

Even if 26 weeks IS the cap, you’ll be surprised how fast that money goes if you’re not working yet. Then you have to weed through a bunch of sh-t jobs till you find a good one. Really not that great of a situation to be in unless you are prepared financially.

I think the new rules should be 26 weeks of severance package. Current rate $1 per week. We owe you $26 after taxes about $20.

Please don't jinx this! I've been waiting a long time for this RIF and I deserve the 26 weeks after all the BS I've tolerated from this garbage company
