Great! Not. I'm working on that initiative for my department.

Very short-sighted decisions. They also apparently let go of all the folks supporting DMS even though we're in a company-wide records retention initiative.

They let go of the Cosmic devs? Oh that’s going to have a nasty impact

So it’s a good thing Wave is working out so well and that it’s the perfect fit for every use case. Otherwise, I’d be very worried. The ONLY two engineers for COSMIC were just let go. COSMIC is that thing responsible for imaging every windows based device that’s not a server. Many VDIs too. COSMIC requires constant maintenance. Now there’s nobody to maintain it. You f—ked up Leo. Real bad.

Why would anybody really want a working notice? Aren't you paid for that time period regardless?

"notice" just means how long you have before severance kicks in. It's 60 or 90 days depending on which state you are in

Notice period can be working, non working or a combination.

Non working notice is the default now - meaning you are cut off from all systems same day.

To have working notice, the manager has to prove in the business case why any working notice is required and it goes through extra layers of approval process.

It's in the damn handbook about non-working notice for displacements. Yet so many are blissfully unaware of the written policies where they work.

They gave you a 60 day non-working notice period, I'm sure. Unless you were let go for cause this is standard.
