Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Excelling at work

my biggest frustration is that Honeywell makes it impossible for me to excel in my job. I hear that a few years ago we were properly funded & supported and created great products. Now it is just snakey career managers/directors wanting you to produce something with nothing and every aspect of my job has been cost cut to the bone.
We can not even order stationary!!

/Post from +1lDCL5cu. / Seems like lots of people feel that HON makes it difficult for them to excel at their job?

In the horrific Canadian operations only the vilest and thick-skinned dolts thrive. For the optionless only.

Get out. Just, get out. I'm forever glad I did. Had 3 jobs to choose from and all were better pay, WAY BETTER benefits, and totally different work culture. The new job environment makes working at moneyfell seem like servitude. Check it out for yourself, but at least go look. You'll get 5 calls immediately. Hon doesn't want you, they want the new hire. The people that actually value your efforts aren't in charge of the outcome, lose lose game.

Post ID: @1izc+1lEQzosG Total truth, that should be Honeywell's new slogan.

With Honeywell, it always gets worse before it gets worse.

It’s been like that for more than the last decade. It just gets worse every year.

In my experience you are absolutely set up to fail at Honeywell, over and over again. Processes change constantly and it’s gotten much worse in the last few years. All I do now is figure out new processes and track things for management. Very little actual work gets done as a result.

Thats why I left.

And the grass is super green on the other side. My only regret is not having left years earlier.

It’s a great job market right now. That won’t last forever. Time to get out and save your sanity.

Get a side hustle.
Work your 40. (Not 46). 6 AM to 3PM. Done.
Pick up the kids and start your real work
Focus on what matters.
No kids? Why arent you in school?

The issue I see at Honeywell and I’m I assuming it’s like this on every level. Even with the amount of managers/higher ups they have no clue what the he-l is going on and because of that you will get treated the same as a sub par employee. No incentive to go above and beyond only concern is staying off the radar. They don’t care about the customer or the employee they just care about numbers. It’s gonna be a roller coaster of a year strap in!

I gave up a couple of years back, discovered too that you just can not do anything meaningful here. Now I work at about a 1/4 the level I used too and still get the same block rating in the yearly review.
No point breaking your back when it has zero impact on your project or on your pay.

I’m not even thinking of excelling. I’m just trying to cope. I’m currently on the couch with disheveled hair, haven’t showered, and have no motivation to get through my job today. It’s like every day I wake up with dread because of this job. But I need to pay my bills. I don’t know if it’s better elsewhere.

Many are just doing busy work, process-related dreck, or just sitting idle.
