I'm safe according to my manager, as is most of my department but I've always wondered... What's the point in letting someone go on a Monday (or at least telling them it's going to happen) and then saying your last day is the 10th? If I were cut I would have zero incentive to do any work and, does it not make it risky to allow a laid off employee to still have access to a lot of things that they could destroy or make a disaster out of?
Like, I personally couldn't do any of my job if my adm account was disabled lol. and if i was a disgruntled ex employee who still had access to certain devices, it'd take 10 minutes to go in and wreck absolute havoc.
