The company needs to get smaller. It will force people back into the office 5 days a week and for those that can't or won't... they will need to find employment elsewhere.

I hear the goal is 5 days facility, but we can select one day out of the office. Was just discussing this with some people last week. You may say it is idle chit chat, but believe what you want. It sounded real to me.

True, the problem is that all the intelligent, innovating and highly motivated ones will be leaving, and all that will be left is dead enders and people who have no other options. That can't possibly be successful. FRTO/FNYC.

@cvz+1l0iyfJt Uhhhh, guess again. That $10B ain’t gonna save itself. When the WFH tune ends there will be enough seats for the people who need them.

It's like the frog in boiling water. They're turning up the heat slowly (e.g. number of days in the office) and hoping we won't hop out of the pot (leave the company). I know many people that are ready to hop.

Based on the job postings it looks like most of the jobs being eliminated are being re-filled in India. I'm sure the folks over there are fine with going in to the office.

You guys are thinking about this all wrong. They will MAKE space by downsizing/outsourcing as many as they need. The real objective is to eliminate as many American workers as possible, they are expensive, forcing them in buildings and closing said buildings is all just an excuse/cover for the real plan to reduce the # of US workers as much as humanly possible.

Seems like there won’t be enough space for 4-5 days in office in some areas after the ongoing site consolidations. Maybe some lucky people will go back to full time remote before being laid off for location strategy or until Charlie leaves (whichever comes first)?

They don't have the real estate to require 4 days???? Are they suddenly going to lease enough by whenever they require 4 days? Why!!! If the whole point is tax breaks by having occupied buildings, why spend even more money on real estate so they can write off only a portion of it????

I was told that Wells will be moving to 5 days in-office in 2024. This is from someone I trust and who is in a position to be aware of it.
