t has to get rid of 150k and up salary jobs.150k and up salary jobs only delegate their problems to actual workers. most of the work being performed are by people doing the work that make at least 100k. get rid of bloat to stay afloat. keep the programmers.

No offense but programmers are a dime a dozen in the lower to medium ranks, which I suspect are the ones out hear saying to get rid off everyone else. There are many people other the programmers that are critical to the success of the company and as someone else already said, Google is working on a programming AI. I suggest if you want to talk about who to get rid of we focus and try to do something including reaching out to HR if needed to get rid of the slackers, they are in all areas of the company. Programmers, Security, billing, finance. Does not matter where you are if you spend more time out hear complaining than doing you job you need to go...
Ditto. My professional peeve is the employee who abuses the time off and repeatedly gets individual recognition for working less than 25 tickets per year while the rest of the team averages over 300. Where is the oversight?

I disagree. The company will get rid of any job that can be automated. Most of the jobs that can be automated are people making less than $150k.
Google is currently working to automate programming, which means the future will not require those folks either. Wake up people, the world is getting automated.
Wrong. This is a LL and Wireless company. The only programmer involvement is done by clerks putting in LEN assignments to phone numbers for LL's & same for wireless.
I mean, come on - we are not Microsoft or Adobe. We don't write software.
Venders place their equipment and write the software to activate or maintain.
Any other software like JEM's is packaged software.
you may be good but best programmers come from India and we don't get paid as much.
