Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Handed in my resignation yesterday

The team is great, but the culture is completely broken. To everyone still there, I know it's a rough job market, but there are better places out there if you are patient and take your time to find them.

@ck it’s not always about the money for everyone. Depending on your situation, there may be more value in protecting your health, sanity, and happiness. There is always going to be some golden handcuff to chase whether it be annual bonus, potential severance payment, options, etc.

This sounds like an HR plant. Stay and collect your severance!!!

It’s probably best to stay and collect the severance. We’ve all earned it.

Congratulations, I hope where you’re off to has better, more trustworthy leaders and a stable company strategy. Think of us when you’re gone and as Noel says, don’t look back in anger.
